Nice Kicks recently collaborated with ASICS on “Nice Cream.” That collab was inspired by the Nice Kicks team’s favorite summer destination, an ice cream parlor. The Nice Kicks x ASICS GEL-LYTE III OG “Black Sesame” highlights a Japanese desert. The sweet treat was not the only motivation for the silhouette. The exclusive GEL-LYTE III OG was also inspired by the beautiful sometsuke bowls that deserts are often served in. That inspiration is called out on the pattern that is printed on the Gel Lyte III’s split tongue and collar. To top off the shoe, the color pop on the laces, and the heel, are influenced by green mint leaves, which are often used as garnishes. The Nice Kicks x ASICS GEL-LYTE III OG “Black Sesame” features patent leather, tonal net, and a splatter mid piece.
